Meet Julie and Bill from Texell's Retail Team

Texell offers several opportunities to further your career, including positions in the Retail Department. These employees assist members across Texell's eight branches with opening accounts, conducting transactions, and finding the financial tools and products they need. "When hiring for this department, I look for somebody that shows good communication skills," said Julie. "They have to show a competitive attitude, enthusiasm, and they have to be empathetic."

The Retail team includes Tellers, Financial Service Specialists, Financial Services Coordinators, Assistant Branch Managers, and Branch Managers. Tellers are in charge of processing transactions and suggesting financial products to make sure members have the best service. Financial Services Specialists help members with their loans, opening new accounts, and assist members with any account questions. Financial Services Coordinators assist members with checking in at the branch and answering questions about the Credit Union. Branch Managers and Assistant Branch Managers are in charge of overseeing operations and making sure the team is meeting their goals.

"A knowledge of banking procedures helps, but it's not required," said Bill. "We're going to give that person the tools that they need to really succeed here at Texell. I've been in banking for 20 years and before I joined the team, I did some research, loved what I saw about Texell and their community involvement."
