Texell Credit Union hosts Be Aware: Financial Scams Seminar from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Texell’s Headquarters. This seminar features Officer Cody Close from the Temple Police Department and covers:
- Trends in common scams fraudsters use today.
- Best practices to avoid falling victim to fraudsters.
“Scammers continually target financial services, making it one of the top three most targeted industries,” said Amy Merriman, Texell’s Chief Operating Officer. “We’re partnering with the Temple Police Department to help educate and alert our members and the community about the latest fraud attacks and how they can stay protected.”
