Texell Credit Union Receives Consecutive SBA Lending Award

Texell Credit Union received the Small Business Administration’s (SBA’s) #1 in Credit Union Lending Award for a second consecutive year. On February 4, the SBA Dallas/Fort Worth District Office presented the award to Vice President of Commercial Services Galen Burke during the North Texas Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders (NTAGGL) quarterly luncheon.

As the only credit union to receive an award at this event, the award represents not only the growth of the credit union, but the rise of small businesses in Central Texas. Texell’s Vice President of Commercial Services, Galen Burke, joined Texell in 2011 in Retail and helped the credit union grow and expand its Commercial Services. In the past few years, the Commercial team expanded from a few employees to a large team that continues to add new jobs.

“We’ve come a long way in lending to help our members with commercial and SBA loans,” said Galen Burke, VP. “Our team takes pride in helping our small business owners achieve their dreams, and I’m honored to share this award with our team.”

Texell offers SBA 7(a) and 504 loans with the commercial team guiding members throughout the process.
