Texell Credit Union Receives SBA #1 in Credit Union Lending Award

Texell Credit Union received the Small Business Administration’s (SBA’s) #1 in Credit Union Lending Award. On January 24, the North Texas Association of Guaranteed Lenders (NTAGGL) presented the award to Business Officer Jessica Winders and Commercial Support Specialist Camille Lobato at the SBA Lender Awards in Dallas.

As the only credit union to receive an SBA award at this event, the award represents not only the growth of the credit union, but the rise of small businesses in Central Texas. Texell’s Vice President of Commercial Services, Galen Burke, joined Texell in 2011 and witnessed the credit union’s advancements. In the past few years, the Commercial team expanded from a few employees to a large team that continues to add new job positions.
