Texell Credit Union will host “Understanding your Credit Score” seminar from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. The seminar will be held in the 1948 Conference Room at Texell’s Headquarters, 7083 Members Parkway in Temple. Presented by James Brown, Client Executive at TransUnion, this event is open to the public, and the $5 registration includes a light meal.

Discover the vital things you need to know about credit reports, such as what information is included and what is not, the different sections of your credit report, and how your score is formulated. James Brown has worked with credit unions and community banks for the past 30 years, with 24 years at Equifax and the past seven at TransUnion.

“Monitoring your credit report is an important step for good financial health,” said Amy Merriman, Texell’s Chief Operating Officer. “Along with providing our members access to SavvyMoney in Digital Banking, a service that helps members review credit scores, we’re excited to bring this educational opportunity to the community.”
