Texell Serves Foundation Makes First Donation

Formed in July 2025, the Texell Serves Foundation gave its first donation to Family Promise of Bell County. The donation was presented to Rucker Preston, Executive Director of Family Promise, at the grand opening and ribbon cutting of the Promise Homes. These transitional homes provide necessary shelter for families experiencing homelessness and extend the nonprofit’s mission of empowering families to achieve sustainable independence.
“The deep work at Family Promise where they take people to independence through dignity is so meaningful,” said Tony Hale, Chairman of the Texell Serves Foundation Board of Directors and President and CEO of Texell Credit Union. “We’re so excited to be supporters of this great cause.”
Texell Serves Foundation was formed to contribute to and participate in philanthropic efforts that benefit Central Texas. While the foundation is newly formed, its roots began in 2015 to provide opportunities for Texell Credit Union’s employees to take part in various worthy causes in the communities where they live, work, and play.
Since its inception, Texell Serves has helped thousands of families at food pantries, donated hundreds of units of blood at drives benefiting Carter BloodCare and Baylor Scott & White (BS&W) Blood Center, and supported older adults during Be a Santa to a Senior. Other nonprofits that benefited from Texell Serves include Sleep in Heavenly Peace, the Alzheimer’s Association, Texas Baptist Children’s Home, and Foster Love of Bell County.
